About the Owners

Jamie Kemp

What did I want from a holiday home? Destination; not too far from my home in the UK. Weather; SUNNY !! (most of the time) Not too far from the coast, but far enough away as not to get caught up in the holiday melee and last, but certainly not the least, general culture and way of life. The Languedoc region of Southern France seemed to meet all these requirements and more. After much travelling, researching and visiting I was lucky enough to find Les Ecologies. Situated in the village / small town of Cessenon-Sur -Orb, a typically quaint, but hard working French community nestled alongside the river Orb. Cessenon offers all the amenities you require for everyday life; Restaurants and bars, Bank, Post Office, chemist, bakers, butchers even a small supermarket. The nearest beach is approximately a twenty five minute drive and within five minutes you can be climbing up into the mountains. Situated in some of the most glorious and varied countryside, lends itself to no end of pastimes, walking, cycling and even kayaking on the river, to name but a few. If all this is just too much, then put your feet up and relax by the pool……..after all, your on holiday !! For wine lovers, this area has to be Utopia, with its acres and acres of vines and famed for its prolific wine production, there is no end to the availability of the local vintages! Put all this together and hopefully there should be something for everyone. I just hope you enjoy your stay as much as I do on my visits.
